You've built an audience. What could happen if some of your followers became paying members?
Explore the potential income from exclusive content, paid communities, subscriptions and creator memberships.
Calculate recurring revenue, membership fees, platform charges, monthly expenses and how churn could affect your membership over 12 months.
Enter your follower count, estimated membership conversion rate, subscription price and operating costs.
The calculator shows a hypothetical launch month and a 12-month scenario with new members and cancellations.
These are hypothetical planning estimates, not guaranteed earnings. Month 1 assumes the initial converted members all pay. From month 2, churn is applied to the previous month's members before adding new members. Fractional member counts are used internally as statistical averages. Results exclude VAT, income tax, corporation tax, refunds, failed payments, launch costs and unentered expenses. The 12-month totals sum each modelled month rather than multiplying month 12 by 12.
This table models how recurring revenue could change with your chosen sign-up and churn assumptions.
| Month | Members | Revenue | Profit |

Paid memberships allow creators to offer exclusive content, access, experiences or communities in exchange for a recurring payment.
But follower numbers alone do not determine revenue. Conversion, pricing, retention and operating costs all matter.
Multiply your unique audience by an assumed initial conversion percentage.
Multiply active paying members by your monthly membership price.
Deduct platform fees, delivery costs and overheads. Model cancellations and new members over time.
Imagine a content creator with 20,000 unique followers.
If 2% chose to purchase a membership, that would be 400 paying members.
At £9.99 per month, gross monthly recurring revenue would be £3,996.
After 5% platform fees, 2.9% payment processing, £0.50 delivery cost per member and £499 fixed monthly expenses, estimated first-month profit would be £2,981.32 before tax.
If the creator then gained 50 new members each month but lost 5% of existing members monthly, the number of paying members would change over time.
This example is illustrative. It does not predict that 2% of followers will buy or remain subscribed.

Publish useful content, communicate regularly and provide reasons for members to stay.
Track cancellations and member feedback. Improving retention can reduce the need to replace lost members.
Earnings depend on the number of paying subscribers, membership prices, platform fees, operating expenses and subscriber retention. Follower counts do not guarantee paid memberships.
Multiply the number of active paying members by the monthly subscription price. Deduct fees and expenses to estimate profit.
There is no reliable universal conversion rate. It varies by audience, content, pricing and the value offered. Use different assumptions to compare possible outcomes.
Churn is the percentage of members who cancel during a period. For example, a 5% monthly churn assumption means an average of 5% of existing members leave each month.
